Welcome Baskets Are Being Distributed

Outreach Program: Welcome Baskets

The first Welcome Basket was delivered to a new family that bought a house in this neighborhood. They have two young girls and they were happy to find out we had a Daisy Group at our Church as well as a Children's Sunday School and Church. I think they will be visiting us in the near future. It was nice that each organization had an item to donate to the basket with an attached card welcoming the family to the Community and how to contact their organization/group:

The following have already made a commitment to the project:
Mary Ellen: homemade bread
The Lydia Ruth Circle: Tea Towels
The Natalie Circle: Tea
The Mary Martha Circle: Hot Dog Sauce
The Esther Circle: Jam
Wha-ke-we-nn/Dulcmer Group/Piecemakers: Candy
Marion County Historical Society: Cookies
The United Methodist women will coordinate the project under the leadership of Judy Thompson

Items do not need to be food, but something you would like to receive if you just moved into a new neighborhood.: We will also take monetary donation, and all Church Members can help .Keep your eyes open and let us know when someone moves into your neighborhood.
